These are bags under the eyes, excess skin and sagging on the upper lids, and wrinkles called &#8220;crow&#8217;s feet&#8221; on the outer edge of the eye.<\/p>\n<p>For these changes around the eyes, an eyelid aesthetic operation called &#8220;blepharoplasty&#8221; is performed. This surgical procedure is popularly known as eye aesthetics.<br \/>\nDrooping eyelids (ptosis)<\/p>\n<p>Drooping upper eyelid is called &#8220;ptosis&#8221;. Drooping eyelids can occur at any age. This disorder is treated within the scope of eye aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p>Lids turning inward (entropion)<\/p>\n<p>The inward turning of the eyelids is called &#8220;entropion&#8221;. Entropion usually occurs in the lower eyelid. Very rarely, it can also occur on the upper lid. Although entropion is mostly caused by senile valve loosening, it may also be due to scars or congenital.<br \/>\nEyelids turning outwards (ectropion)<\/p>\n<p>The outward turning of the eyelids is called &#8220;ectropion&#8221;. It can be corrected with eye plastic surgery. Ectropion occurs in the lower eyelid. Although ectropion is mostly caused by age-related (senile) lid laxity, it can also develop due to scars (cicatricial), facial nerve paralysis and lower lid masses (mechanical).<\/p>\n<p>How are under-eye bags treated?<\/p>\n<p>The most important reason for the formation of under-eye bags is genetics, that is, heredity. The second reason is thyroid disease. Bags under the eyes give the person an older and tired appearance. It is treated by removing excess fatty tissues or changing their location.<\/p>\n<p>Operations can be performed under local anesthesia and their effects last for a long time. Interventions on the lower eyelid can often be performed through the lid without the need to cut the skin.
